Lemon Myrtle (backhousia citriodora)
One of the most well-known and popular of the native Australian oils, this rainforest tree grows naturally in the wet coastal regions of northern New South Wales and southern Queensland. It is fresh, bright and uplifting in nature. It is antiviral and antimicrobial and can be used for respiratory complaints or as a natural cleaning product. It blends well with anise myrtle, honey myrtle, eucalyptus or tea tree.
