Blue Cypress (callitris intratropica)
Named after the rich blue colour of the oil, blue cypress (callitris intratropica) occurs naturally in the tropical regions of northern Australia from the Kimberley across to Cape Yorke. Medicinally, it is anti-inflammatory and antibacterial so it may aid in wound healing. it is emotionally calming and brings positivity and motivation. It is often used to help people move on from difficult situations in times of grief or stress.
Blends well with white cypress, kunzea or other wood oils such as sandalwood or buddhawood.
This oil has been shown to have anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and antiviral properties.
It has been used for the treatment of chronic cough and bronchitis.
It may assist with pain relief and wound healing.
This oil is traditionally used in the treatment of grief and emotional distress, it may help with letting go and moving on.
It is generally calming and grounding in nature.
